Alberta, Canada

We had a fantastic time staying with Steve, Vanessa & Ava in Three Hills, Alberta. Steve is an agronomist in Alberta operating his own business Beyond Agronomy and had a fantastic knowledge of both the Canadian & local area farming operations. We had several interesting visits with Steve's clients, particularly Spencer & Stirling Hilton, who weren't too unlike ourselves & were running a great cropping operation. Steve also arranged for a flight over the Three Hills area which was fascinating to see the true quality of the crops - you definitely can't hide anything from the sky! Farmers in Alberta are in 'drought' though for them this means still producing crops up to 4-5tonne/ha for wheat & 1-2 tonnes/acre for canola.
